I can't think of a more perfect way to honor my family's heritage and carry on that tradition of warmth and generosity than to share with you Ferguson Crest's collection of wines, the latest gift from my father's extraordinarily green thumb. When I was a little girl, my dad spent hours on end taking care of the fruit trees and vegetable patches he planted in our backyard in Hacienda Heights. My sister and I watched in awe, and even sometimes got to help him in nurturing the garden. My father was so proud of all the things we grew together - tangelos, peaches, blood oranges, bell peppers, artichokes, guava - that I actually believed he was a farmer, and didn't hesitate to brag to all the neighborhood kids about it! Since starting Ferguson Crest in 2006, I've gotten the chance to grow something beautiful with my father again, and this time around share our family treasure so that each of you can taste the love and care that's gone into every bottle.
2012 vintage is grown on pure limestone soil, our 100% Syrah marks the third release of our signautre wine. Enjoy notes of raspberry, Bing cherry, cassis, graphite, licorice, and wonderful minerality. This red boasts a juicy mouth-feel that gives way to a complex, yet balanced finish. Pairs nicely with a pulled pork sandwich and herb tossed sweet potato fries.
2013 vintage marks the winery's fourth vintage harvested on the estate property. This wine has mingling notes of black pepper, graphite, chocolate, and cassis. For a perfect pairing sever with braised beef short ribs served alongside creamy polenta and roasted carrots.
2014 Syrah has not yet been released.
